Adult & All-Ages Events
A-Year-In-Books Ornament Take & Make Kit Celebrate the holidays by creating a custom ornament full of tiny books representing what you read this year! Instructions and ornament shell are provided. Kits are available at the Downtown Library Information Desk starting December 1st, while supplies last.
Family holiday activity kit. Enjoy an evening with your family making cards, sharing hot cocoa and cider, and eating popcorn! Kits will be available Monday, 12/11/23 - Friday, 12/15/23 while supplies last. Each kit has supplies for four people. East Flagstaff Community Library.
Pride in Your Community: Crafting Portable Hugs with Free Mom Hugs. Monday, December 11th at 4:30pm. Join us with Free Mom Hugs to create a portable hug to take home with you! Ages 12+. Meeting at the East Flagstaff Community Library.
Senior Coffee Hour. December 13th at 10am. Downtown Library Northwest Corner. Coffee and snacks provided! For older adults 55+. Join library staff to learn more about library services and volunteer opportunities! Join Deidre Crawley with NAU’s Center for Service and Volunteerism to learn about the benefits of service and volunteering for older adults.

Senior Book Club at the Joe C Montoya Senior Center. 3rd Monday of every month. December 18th at 1pm. Ms. Demeanor by Elinor Lipman.
LGBT+ Book Club. January 8th at 6:30pm. The Library of the Unwritten by A. J. Hackwith. East Library.
Thursday Night Book Club: Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner. January 11th at 6pm. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Southwest Reads Book Club. Capirotada January 24th. Coming soon: March 27th Brave the Wild River and May 22nd Mesa of Sorrows. 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6pm. Downtown Community Room.
Banned Book Club: Speak. Tuesday February 6th from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Rape? Immorality? "Soft-pornography"? Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
Youth Events
Teen Movie Day at the East Flagstaff Community Library. Wednesdays December 6th, 13th, and 20th at 1pm. December 13th is Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse.
Harry Potter Yule Ball. December 14th, 5:30-7:30pm. You're invited! All witches and wizards are invited to attend the Yule Ball! Get sorted into your Hogwarts House, participate in magical crafts and games, dance with other witches and wizards, and enjoy butterbeer as you browse Honeydukes wares. Formal attire or costumes are encouraged. All ages welcome. At the East Library.
Flagstaff Public Library invites you to Teen Holiday Friday Flicks. Home Alone. Friday December 15th, 2023 at 1pm. Join us for popcorn and a movie.
Winter 2024. Storytimes at the Flagstaff Downtown Library. Saturday Story Stop. Year-round at 10:30am. Come to a fun-filled morning of storytime for ALL ages.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
