Last spring, we shared our new mission, to foster creative opportunity, with you. Since then, this mission was tested as we worked to support Flagstaff’s creative sector through one of the most challenging years on record. We know that you support our mission and vision, in order to continue our work, we need your help.

Request for Proposals from Artists:
Creation of the 2021 Viola Awards

Flagstaff Arts Council is seeking proposals from qualified Flagstaff-area artists to create the awards for the 13th Annual Viola Awards. The selected artist will create works of art that will be given to each Viola Award winner.

Youth Lens:
High School Photography Contest 2020

Presented by Nature Exposed Photography
Nature Exposed Photography is proud to present the 6th Annual Youth Lens Contest. This year, the contest is online at our virtual gallery on the ArtWalk FLG website. Check out the finalists and cast your vote for your favorite photograph! Voting will be open now through the end of November for People’s Choice Award!

PARCHED: The Art of Water in the Southwest 
On view now at the Coconino Center for the Arts

PARCHED, explores the complexity of water in the face of climate change and increasing populations. Nine Arizona-based artists created works, informed by scientific and cultural inquiry, that reflect diverse perspectives and provocative insight into our intricate relationship with water in our natural, cultural, and political landscapes.

*Due to COVID-19 we are taking additional safety precautions. Admission is free, but you must register for a time slot to attend this exhibition; walk-ins will not be permitted entry. Each time slot allows one hour of gallery visitation, 10 patrons max.  Masks and social distancing are required.

Moline Creative Contagious Creativity Awards

The Contagious Creativity Awards serve not-for-profit organizations that do good work, but could not otherwise afford Moline Creative services.  Awards are typically limited to Arizona, but during the pandemic they are available to organizations everywhere. Learn more here.

Full STEAM Ahead with
STEM City
Full STEAM Ahead is a collaboration in which local teachers and professionals further STEAM education of students within a classroom. This year’s program will take place in a remote learning environment. Teachers, students, and professionals will meet monthly to complete lessons and activities designed to help students develop a project by May.
