FLAGSTAFF — The Flagstaff Unified School District (FUSD) elementary schools will be hosting Kindergarten Registration on February 5th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at all FUSD elementary schools to assist families with the registration process. The event is an opportunity for families to tour the school, meet teachers, and pre-register for the 2020-2021 school year.
“We believe that the learning process is a collaborative approach and look forward to meeting our new students,” shares Communication Director Zachery Fountain. “This is an exciting time for families and we want to be partners with families in this process.
Parents are strongly encouraged to pre-register their child for kindergarten. This helps schools plan for the upcoming year and manage class sizes, staffing requirements, and other resources.
In anticipation for the event and the ongoing registration process, all registration forms are available ahead of time at www.fusd1.org/kindergarten and should be returned to the school.
All children who turn five years of age on or before August 31 of the current school year are eligible to enter kindergarten. A child who will turn five years of age in the month of September may be allowed to enter kindergarten based on an early entrance screening. The Educational Enrichment Department can assist in setting up a screening at (928) 527-6156.
