FLAGSTAFF — Sean Arce, former director of the Mexican American Studies (MAS) Program at the Tucson Unified School District, will talk about his role in challenging the ban on Ethnic Studies in Arizona at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 at Northern Arizona University, SBA Castro, Room 110.
Arce will also outline a process for fulfilling the legal mandate to desegregate Tucson schools and affirm the importance of Ethnic Studies curricula in public education.
A luncheon discussion will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Ethnic Studies Office, SBS West, Room 100.
