Economic Collaborative of Northern Arizona (ECoNA) — Communities to Provide Analytics for Businesses

Good afternoon,

Without data, you’re just another person with an opinion.

That’s why ECoNA and the municipalities of Flagstaff, Winslow, Sedona and Camp Verde have collaborated to provide Buxton analytics to help local businesses and organizations with information that can guide their decisions.

For almost 30 years, the Fort Worth-based company has offered insights that have helped dozens of businesses and communities understand their customers more precisely. Buxton’s software-as-a-service platform is focused on multiple sectors, including retail, restaurants, automotive, healthcare, hospitality, tourism, and general economic development.

While the analytics are used in many ways, some of the most common applications include:

  • Creating a profile of an organization’s core customers
  • Supporting real estate site selection decisions
  • Growing a customer base through targeted marketing
  • Understanding who is visiting a city or region to improve tourism strategies and retailer recruitment.

Buxton can provide analytics based on customer information provided by a client, but also can draw on its own significant range of demographic, psychographic, financial and healthcare-related datasets that include information on more than 120 million U.S. households. It also pulls information from GPS pings on mobile devices, license plate captures and national consumer surveys.

This makes it a powerful tool whether a business is just starting out and trying to determine where they should be located or is well-established and trying to determine the next best steps for continued growth.

As our mission states, with our partners, we provide quality economic growth for our region. We are thrilled that this collaborative effort provides access to the Buxton platform. This data will help existing and future businesses in northern Arizona to make data driven decisions.

If you are interested in how Buxton analytics can help your business or organization, please reach out to us by emailing me at gjackson@econa-az.com or by contacting any of our municipal economic development practitioners.

Sincerely,

Gail Jackson
