Mental Health and COVID-19
Our current situation has highlighted our need to care for ourselves in a variety of ways, including our physical and mental health. The COVID-19 Pandemic is a stressful situation for everyone in our community. It is important that we check in on ourselves, our loved ones, and our neighbors during this period of prolonged self-isolation, high stress, and anxiety about the pandemic.
According to the CDC “Stress during an infectious disease outbreak can include
  • Fear and worry about your own health and the health of your loved ones
  • Changes in sleep or eating patterns
  • Difficulty sleeping or concentrating
  • Worsening of chronic health problems
  • Worsening of mental health conditions
  • Increased use of alcoholtobacco, or other drugs
As we continue to navigate this situation, we would like to urge you to take care of your mental health and well-being this time. This is not normal, and we should not expect ourselves to react to this situation as if it is. Below you will find several tools and resources about caring for your mental health (as well as others) during this time. Remember, you are not alone in this. We will get through this together.
