Board of Supervisors

At the Board meeting this past week:

At the BOS meeting this past week, the Board approved a proclamation in support of Achieve 60, a program to support the state achieving 60 percent of high school graduates attending secondary education. They also heard a presentation on the County Communication Plan, and heard about the community’s coordinated entry project for homelessness called Front Door. The BOS also heard about the Community Development Department’s plans for revising area plans.

The BOS also approved a one-year extension for the conditional zoning for the final plat for Kachina Village North. They also heard the appeal of the CUP for a cell tower at Toonerville, and continued the case to March 21.

On the horizon:

February 25-March 1: National Association of Counties legislative conference in DC.

March 7: Regular Meeting and work session with liquor license hearing, discussion on the County Engineering Design and Construction Criteria Manual, KVID rate structure, and community clean up voucher program.
