Coconino County to host home energy efficiency workshop in community of Valle on March 19

Highgrove Road can be reached off HWY 64 or HWY 180 and is 30 miles north of Williams. The location can also be found as Grand Canyon Junction or Valle.

This event is in collaboration with Canyon Community Alliance, Clear Sky Resorts, and will feature a presentation by CozyHome. CozyHome is a local Flagstaff company that specializes in home energy efficiency and offers energy audits. They will be represented by Eli Chamberlain, their founder. This presentation is to help guide county residents in making their homes more efficient, but also to take advantage of energy suppliers, like APS, to do home energy audits through rebates.

CozyHome is a participating contractor with APS that has been authorized to do Home Energy Checkups through APS. CozyHome’s website is https://www.cozyhomeaz.com/. Canyon Community Alliance is a non-profit organization that works to provide education, resources, and opportunities for communities to improve quality of life and build a sustainable environment. This informative session will provide homeowners with practical tips and strategies for improving energy efficiency in their homes including weatherization, hands-on demonstrations of energy saving methods, a guide on what products would work best and more. CozyHome will lead this discussion on how to assess and reduce energy consumption which will lower utility costs and contribute to a more sustainable environment. The intent is to encourage residents to invest in home weatherization to use less energy on heating their home when these changes are easy and inexpensive.
