Coconino County Parks & Recreation is seeking proposals from Arizona artists, or artist teams, for large-scale, three-dimensional sculptures.
Awarded sculptures will be a part of a public exhibition at Sawmill Multicultural and Nature County Park in Flagstaff.
Sawmill County Park is located on a brownfield where one of Flagstaff’s first sawmills operated from 1908 to 1993. The park offers recreational and educational opportunities for visitors to see how the former industrial site has transformed into an environmental and aesthetic amenity. The public art celebrates the diversity of the surrounding community.
Selected sculptures will be located at the park’s sculpture walk and a public reception will take place in July.
