FLAGSTAFF — The Superior Court is collaborating with several organizations to offer services at the Navajo Nation District Court in Tuba City, 240 S. Main St. in Tuba City, AZ on Friday March 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., local time. This event gives Tuba City residents and nearby areas access to services without needing to travel to Flagstaff.
Coconino County Elections Department, Recorders Office, and Health and Human Services (CCHHS) along with Victim Witness Services of Northern Arizona (VWS) are participating.
The Superior Court in Coconino County will provide walk-in services and conduct hearings starting at 10 a.m. The Court will be able to assist with quashing outstanding warrants, applying for marriage licenses or passports, filing documents, reviewing court records and paying any outstanding Superior Court fines or fees. Please note, any payments would need to be made with cash, a money order, or a cashier’s check.
The Coconino County Attorney’s office will have applications available for marijuana conviction expungement.
VWS will provide intakes and offer information about services available to victims of crime.
“The Coconino Superior Court and the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council are pleased to provide increase access to justice with our Justice Bus event in Tuba City on March 21,” said CJCC Director Dianna Kalandros. “This event will allow people to participate in certain types of hearings and provide necessary Superior Court services without having to travel to Flagstaff. CCHHS, VWS, and the County Elections Department will also be on site to provide additional information and support.”
CCHHS staff will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to provide information and application assistance for the programs and services available to Coconino County residents including rent payment assistance, utility payment assistance, and Narcan – a rapid treatment for the effects of opioid overdose.
Coconino County Elections will also have staff present with information about voting, election equipment, and how elections are managed in the County. The County Recorder’s Office will have Voter Registration materials and staff to answer questions about this process.
