CCC&Y Celebrates Successful Early Childhood Fair

More than 400 children, parents and caregivers and others attended the 2018 Flagstaff Early Childhood Fair, held Sept. 29 at Flagstaff High School. The fair made a successful entry to this year’s Flagstaff Festival of Science and will return in fall 2019. Click here for more information.

 

CCC&Y Supports Teaching Documentary
CCC&Y is co-hosting the documentary “Teaching in Arizona: Our Future is in the Classroom,” at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Flagstaff Medical Center, McGee Auditorium, 1200 N. Beaver St., Flagstaff. Co-hosted by Tucson Values Teachers. A panel presentation will follow, moderated by Steve Peru, president of the United Way of Northern Arizona. CCC&Y Supports NACA Reach UR Life 2018 Northern Arizona Suicide Prevention Conference
Virginia Watahomigie, executive director of CCC&Y, conducted a break out session on “ACES, Trauma and Resiliency” at the Native Americans for Community Action (NACA) Reach UR Life Suicide Prevention Conference held Sept. 6-8, 2018 at the High Country Conference Center at Northern Arizona University. CCC&Y was a proud sponsor of the conference where more than 350 individuals were scheduled to attend the event that featured more than 30 speakers.

 

Laura van Dernoot Lipsky to be keynote speaker at April 18 CCC&Y Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference
Laura van Dernoot Lipsky, founder and director of The Trauma Stewardship Institute and author of Trauma Stewardship: An Everyday Guide to Caring for Self While Caring for Others, will be the keynote speaker at the Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Little America, Flagstaff.
