FLAGSTAFF — With significant snow forecast for northern Arizona in the coming days, the city of Flagstaff would like to remind the public of our snow delay or cancellation notifications and a few snow operations updates.
In the event of a weather-related delay or closure of non-essential city operations the city’ website, main Facebook page, Twitter account and public hotline (928.213.2005) will all be updated with the relevant information.
Trash and recycling collection for residential and commercial businesses is cancelledFeb. 22. If your garbage and recycling is not collected on your regular scheduled collection day this week, leave your cart at the curb. Collection will be conducted as conditions become safe.
The city’s Public Works Division will fully deploy all available equipment during this snow event. The first priority roadways for treatment are main arterials, major hills, school and transit routes as well as the downtown core. The second priority isneighborhoods and residential areas. To begin treating second priority roads, the first priority roadways must be completed and maintained throughout the snow event.
The city requests that no one parks on the streets in compliance with the Snow Ordinance.
City Parks staff will work to clear snow from city parking lots and sidewalks as quickly as possible.
