City of Flagstaff formally opens search for new city manager

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff has formally opened the search for a new City Manager. This position will remain open until filled with the first review of resumes on June 6, 2018.

The next Flagstaff City Manager will be responsible for administering the programs and policies established by the City Council and informing and advising the City Council on all City affairs. The City Manager also presents a recommended budget to the City Council and implements the budget after Council adopts it.

The minimum requirements for this position are: 1) graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in public administration, business, or management; and 2) extensive administrative and management experience that clearly demonstrates the candidate’s ability to lead a municipal organization.; or any combination of education experience, and training equivalent to the minimum job requirements as determined by the City Council.

The City of Flagstaff anticipates selecting finalists for this position in early July with onsite interviews tentatively scheduled the week of Aug. 6, 2018. For more information, please contact pwconsulting@cox.net
