City of Flagstaff, Coconino County announce Thanksgiving closures

FLAGSTAFF — City of Flagstaff administrative offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29, 2024 for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen on Dec. 2, 2024. Operating hours for other City of Flagstaff facilities are listed below.

    • Thursday, Nov. 28 – closed all day
    • Friday, Nov. 29 – regular hours of operation
  • East Flagstaff Community Library (3000 N. Fourth St)
    • Wednesday, Nov. 27 – closes at 4 p.m.
    • Thursday, Nov. 28 – closed all day
    • Friday, Nov. 29 – closed all day
  • Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library (300 W. Aspen Ave.)

All city-serviced trash and recycling collections which would normally occur on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 28) will be serviced on the following day. Thursday’s route will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 29 and Friday’s route will be picked up on Saturday, Nov. 30.

COCONINO COUNTY — Coconino County’s Administrative Center, the County Manager’s Office, the County Attorney’s Office, and the County Superior Court and Justice Courts will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Coconino County Health and Human Services offices and clinic are closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. An Animal Services officer will be on call for emergencies only on Thursday, November 28 and working normal hours on Friday, November 29 from 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Contact the CCHHS Animal Services office at (928) 679-8756 to leave a message and an officer will return the call. Dial 9-1-1 for emergencies.

While the administrative offices at the Sheriff’s Office will be closed, Dispatch, Patrol and Detention will be open. Records will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Please dial 9-1-1 for emergencies. For non-emergencies, dial (928) 774-4523 to connect with the non-emergency Dispatch number or to leave a message for one of the administrative offices.

Coconino County’s parks and natural areas will remain open during the holiday, but administrative offices at Fort Tuthill will be closed.
