The thrill of the band’s looseness, chemistry, camaraderie, Jagger’s frenetic and seemingly endless energy, and the ever-popular songs, took us back to earlier years during the latest Rolling Stone’s No Filter concert in Glendale, Arizona,
Nevertheless, the very advanced technological innovations streamlined into the show –six-story tall LED video screens of 1.5 million pixels each a-la 2001 Space Oddisey monoliths, representing the four band members and delivering super high definition footage of the band, provided a show second only to the contagious electricity of the band itself.
British architect Ray Winkler of Stufish Entertainment directed the design of this tour. Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts were very involved in the process, discussing details as small as the attire and colors to be worn by the band during the concert.
The Rolling Stones are in the 8th decade of their lives, and fans have wondered whether this would be their last tour. Actually, it looks like the Stones are getting better in another, more contemporary level. With this technologically jammed concert, they have challenged the feeling that this band was built to last forever as part of the world’s pop culture.
