Hyperinflation in Venezuela has put all but the most basic foodstuffs and medicines out of reach. In the absence of a functioning government, gangs and thieves rule the neighborhoods. People wake up every morning to face the same troubles that left them shattered the night before, no resolution in sight. In the Catia neighborhood of Caracas, people are basically fighting for survival.

La hiperinflación en Venezuela ha puesto todos los alimentos y medicamentos más básicos fuera del alcance. En ausencia de un gobierno que funcione, las pandillas y los ladrones gobiernan los vecindarios, y las personas se despiertan cada mañana para enfrentar los mismos problemas que los dejaron destrozados la noche anterior, sin una resolución a la vista. En el barrio Catia de Caracas, la gente lucha básicamente por la supervivencia.
