Directions:

Location: 18 miles northeast of Flagstaff, near Sunset Crater/Wupatki National Monument. Elevation is 6,900 feet.

Access: Drive 12 miles northeast of Flagstaff on US 89. Turn east (right) on FR 545 (toward Sunset Crater) and drive 2 miles to Bonito Campground. Campground entrance is JUST BEFORE the entrance station of Sunset Crater National Monument.

Evening Program at Pine Grove, July 14th

8:00- 8:45p.m. History of Native American Tribes & their Connection to the Southwest Region. Join Ranger John Begay, a Navajo and indigenous tribal member of the area to share his cultural teachings and traditional background. He will also share Native American history going back thousands of years.  From the first Paleo-Indians crossing the Bering Strait into the Americas to the present with modern-day tribes still thriving in the southwest.

8:00-8:45p.m. Historia de las Tribus Nativas Americanas y su Conexión con la Región Suroeste. Únete con Guardabosque John Begay, un miembro de la tribu indígena del área y un Navajo, para compartir sus enseñanzas culturales y sus antecedentes tradicionales. También compartirá la historia de los Nativos Americanos desde hace miles de años. Desde los primeros paleoindios que cruzaron el estrecho de Bering Strait a las Américas hasta el presente, con tribus modernas que todavía prosperan en el Suroeste.
