Coconino County Community Services will offer entrepreneur classes starting Jan.10, 2017 to assist future small business owners.
The Community Services Basic Business Empowerment Program is a training program to help emerging entrepreneurs start new ventures and provide growth tools for small businesses.
WHAT: A 12-week (36-hour) course for Coconino County residents who want to start, improve, and/or expand micro-businesses, defined as those with five or fewer employees and often requiring much less than $35,000 of start-up capital.
Topics to be covered, include:
• Defining personal vision and goals
• Transforming a business idea into a business concept statement
• Personal and business financial readiness
• Defining your target markets
• Developing products/services uniqueness
• Assessing the competition
• Designing marketing and pricing strategies
• Projecting sales
• Determining start-up & operational costs
• Ensuring cash flow & profitability
• Setting up legal and accounting systems
• Securing financial resources
WHEN: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., Tuesdays, Jan. 10- March 28.
