SEDONA — The Northern Arizona Interfaith Council (NAIC) will be participating in Arizona Speaks!, a statewide series of assemblies calling for federal immigration reform, at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at Church of the Red Rocks, 54 Bowstring Drive, Sedona.
Simultaneous assemblies will also be held in Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma. The assemblies, which will include business, civic, educational, religious and other community members, is designed to send a message supporting comprehensive immigration reform to the state’s Congressional delegation, organizers reported.
“This is especially timely considering the current intransigence on this issue in the House. This also anticipates the introduction of a resolution in support of immigration reform in the Sedona City Council on Dec. 12,” Leah Mundell of NAIC stated in a release.
