Arizona Launching COVID-19 Vaccination Site in Flagstaff on April 19

New facility continues expansion of vaccine availability statewide.

COCONINO COUNTY — The state Northern Region COVID-19 Vaccination Site, a partnership with Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), Coconino County, Northern Arizona University (NAU) and Northern Arizona Healthcare, will open in Flagstaff on Monday, April 19, administering the Pfizer vaccine to anyone 16 and older.

The vaccination site will be located at NAU’s University Union Fieldhouse, 1050 Knoles Drive and will serve the Flagstaff and northern Arizona communities. The indoor vaccination site will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Initially, the site will offer approximately 1,000 appointments per day, with capacity to administer more than 4,000 doses daily.

Other partners include the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs and Premier Medical Group, the primary site operator, responsible for the pharmacy and staffing. Northern Arizona Healthcare, operator of Flagstaff Medical Center, will provide additional support for clinical staffing.

Individuals interested in receiving a vaccine at the Northern Region COVID-19 Vaccination Site can register on podvaccine.azdhs.gov. While walk-ins may be accommodated as appointment and supplies allow, individuals are encouraged to register online. Appointment slots will be made available for the following week on Fridays at 11 a.m.

Free parking is available in lot P16, west of the Fieldhouse on Knoles Drive. If this lot is full, individuals may exit the lot on Knoles drive southbound (left), and park in the parking garage located at the intersection of Knoles Drive and Riordan Road.

Those individuals who have already received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at another location are able to receive their second dose at the -Northern Region COVID-19 Vaccination Site. People receiving their second dose are advised to bring their vaccination card to the appointment.

To make an appointment for a relative or someone other than yourself, use the patient portal at podvaccine.azdhs.gov. If  registering a minor (16-17 years old) for the vaccine, please note that an adult must register before a minor account can be added and an appointment scheduled. All minors must be accompanied by an adult when receiving the vaccine and a consent form must be signed.
