April 26 — Flagstaff Police Department Citizens Liaison Committee to present discussion on ‘Gangs in Flagstaff?’

FLAGSTAFF — The Flagstaff Police Department Citizens Liaison Committee will present discussion on “Gangs in Flagstaff?” at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 26 at the Coconino County Health Department, 2625 N. King St., Flagstaff (Ponderosa Room).

Get the inside information on gang activity in the city, efforts by local law enforcement and the State Gang Task Force, and suggestions  for area at-risk youth.

Also, have an opportunity to sit down and speak with members of the committee about public safety, community relations and other issues affecting the community.

Community members are urged to come with their questions.

The quarterly event offers community members the opportunity to ask or submit questions to the committee on public safety, community relations and other issues affecting the community.

The entire community is invited to be a part of this meeting. Light refreshments will be provided. If special accommodations  are needed, please contact the Flagstaff Police Department at 928-779-3646 at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting date/time.

About FPDCLC: The volunteer community group was formed following discussions with the community in early 2014 and is supported by a grant from the Arizona Community Foundation, the Flagstaff Community Foundation and the Forest Highlands Foundation.

Members work to improve the communications process between the department and the community, encourage community members to submit complaints without fear of retribution and provide a proactive informational forum to address community concerns when incidents and issues arise.
