It is with great pleasure that I announce to you that our radio program will launch on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Lots of logistical items have had to be worked out but it is finally here.
The name of our platform is AARP Arizona Hispanic Connection. As you know we will have a radio program, a Facebook page and a YouTube channel, all bearing the same name. It is likely that we will also be on Twitter soon.

AARP Arizona Hispanic Connection is an AARP-hosted radio-social platform that convenes community thought leaders to educate on relevant issues (such as history, health, education, money, and other), celebrate Latino accomplishments (academically, politically, business, arts), and connect Hispanics of all generations.

For our launch on May 6, we will not address a specific issue but will introduce the program concept, issues, speakers, etc. For this program and going forward I will be making the asks to appear on our radio show directly to those able to speak on the issue(s) being addressed.
And last but not least, I am very excited about this effort but recognize it will only succeed with your support. Your expertise, input, insight, and help to spread the word will be key in accomplishing the objectives of educating, celebrating and connecting Hispanics in Arizona.
