FLAGSTAFF — The Flagstaff Police Department Citizens Liaison Committee will hold its next quarterly public meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Flagstaff High School, 400 W. Elm Ave., Flagstaff.
Receive feedback from the Flagstaff Police Department on citizen input from the committee’s open house meeting on June 22 at the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association and a brief presentation on the use of body cameras by police officers.
The volunteer community group was formed following discussions with the community in early 2014 and is supported by a grant from the Arizona Community Foundation, the Flagstaff Community Foundation and the Forest Highlands Foundation.
Members work to improve the communications process between the department and the community, encourage community members to submit complaints without fear of retribution and provide a proactive informational forum to address community concerns when incidents and issues arise.
The entire community is invited to be a part of this meeting. Light refreshments will be provided. If special accommodations are needed, please contact the Flagstaff Police Department at 928-779-3646 at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting date/time.
