CCC Foundation selects new board members

Coconino Community College FoundationFLAGSTAFF — The Coconino Community College Foundation selected four new board members during its regular monthly meeting April 12 in Flagstaff.

The CCC Foundation Board of Directors comprises selected residents of Coconino County who represent leadership and community influence and who have expressed an interest and desire to support the Foundation’s mission, which is to promote the purpose and goals of Coconino Community College and to enhance the opportunities of Coconino County residents. Last year the CCC Foundation awarded over $90,000 in scholarships to CCC students last year, in large part through the efforts of the Foundation Board.

Three of the new board members hail from Flagstaff, and the fourth comes to the Board from Page. The new members selected are:

  • Gail D. Lowe, who is a Certified Public Accountant, has a long, positive history with the CCC Foundation, serving as the Foundation’s accountant in the past.
  • Joey Smith works for the Antelope Point Marina in Page, and Antelope Point Marina is an important partner with the Foundation with an established scholarship for students.
  • Christina Caldwell is the Director of Community and Business Engagement at Goodwill Industries of Northern Arizona. Goodwill Industries is an important partner with CCC in a variety of workforce training programs, and the Foundation Board is excited to have Caldwell serve as a liaison.
  • Gary Boyer is retired and recently moved to Flagstaff. He is a ceramics student who has donated his art to the Palette to Palate fundraiser and believes strongly in continuing education.

“The individuals recruited bring different skill sets, organizational connections and add to the diversity of the current board,” said Joseph Donaldson, President of the CCC Foundation Board of Directors. “We’re excited to move forward.”
