WINSLOW — Día de los Muertos returned to Winslow with a display of altars / ofrendas, sugar skull and paper flower-making workshops and performances by Winslow Ballet Folklorico on Nov. 1, 2015 at the Snowdrift Art Space.
The third annual celebration was presented by the Snowdrift Art Space, Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces and the Winslow Arts Trust.
Members of Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces presented the sugar skull and paper flower-making workshops as members of the region contributing to the community altars or their own individuals ofrendas.
Snowdrift Art Space is a gallery/studio/loft/event space that features the work of sculptor Daniel Lutzick. Free, guided tours of Snowdrift for individuals or groups are available by appointment only.
As an affiliate of the Winslow Arts Trust, Snowdrift hosts several community events each year including the Material Girls Quilt Show and Winslow’s Día de los Muertos.
