FLAGSTAFF — On Monday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. nearly 10,000 registered Flagstaff voters will receive a call inviting them to participate in a live telephone town hall meeting with Flagstaff City Manager Kevin Burke and NAIPTA General Manager Jeff Meilbeck, city officials reported in a media release.
Participants in Flagstaff Telephone Town Hall will be able to ask questions, share comments, vote in polls on their touch tone phone or just listen in. Calls will be made to all registered voters with a landline.
The city decided to try Flagstaff Telephone Town Hall to help provide information and answer questions about City Prop. 406 from voters who have busy schedules and have not been able to attend an open house or hear a presentation about the ballot issue. The city will not advocate on this issue so the Flagstaff Telephone Town Hall is informational only.
The city is excited to try Flagstaff Telephone Town Hall on Road Repair and Street Safety and as a test for other possible community engagement issues and opportunities in the future, officials reported.
Registered Flagstaff voters who do not have a landline but would like to be a part of Flagstaff Telephone Town Hall can call 928-213-2061 before 6 p.m. on Oct. 27, to make arraignments to participant via a toll-free number.
