Picasso at the Lapin Agile — March 14 – 30

Theatrikos is pleased to present Picasso at the Lapin Agile. This historical fiction comedy, written by actor and comedian Steve Martin, is set in Paris in the early twentieth century. The play centers around Picasso and Einstein who meet in a bar in 1904 and discuss art, science and the future of the world. Throughout the play they meet a host of other characters including a man from the future, “the visitor.”

Assistant director Adam Wintz shared, “Picasso at the Lapin Agile has a bit of everything. A marriage of dry wit and over-the-top absurdity as only Steve Martin can write. Titillation and innuendo, laugh-out-loud funny yet also thought provoking. It’s sometimes sublime, sometimes silly, but always funny. This cast hits all the right notes and really makes it sing. You will cry with laughter while pondering the nature of the universe and your place in human history.”

Performances run March 14-30, 2025.

13 The Musical

Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents’ divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain… or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!?

Director Joe Maniglia shared, “Do you remember what it was like to be 13? Wanting to fit in, wanting to be liked, wanting to be loved? Relive the comedy and the drama of those wonderfully miserable and terribly influential times.”

Performances run April 4 – 6.
