Wily Writers. Weekly writing group. Every Wednesday at 6:00pm Downtown Library Northwest Corner. Make writing a habit with practice! With the use of prompts, time allotments, and group sharing, Wily Writers will learn more about their writing and support others along the way. You bring your writing tools and we'll bring the fun!
Writing Workshop: Point of View. Part of the Flagstaff Big Read. Who’s telling your story, and how? Would 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person make more sense or add an important perspective? Explore point of view in a writing workshop inspired by Tommy Orange's novel, There There. Friday, Mar. 14th 12:00-1:30pm. Downtown Library.

Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. March 17th @ 1:00 PM. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. 3rd Monday of every month. Upcoming: April 21st Maame by Jessica George.
Southwest Reads Book Club. The Broken Circle. Mar 26 6:00pm. An exposé of the 1974 murders known as the “Chokecherry Massacre” and the racial unrest that that followed. 4th Wednesday of every other month. Downtown Library Community Room.
Poetry Book Club. Join us every other month to discuss poetry. Stick around (if interested) for writing exercises afterwards! April 3 @ 5:30 PM Deaf Republic. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk and meet in the Northwest Corner!
Banned Book Club. The Giver. Tuesday, April 1st, 6:00 to 7:00pm Downtown Library Community Room. “Disregard for human life”? Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.

SPRING BREAK AT THE LIBRARY
SPRING BREAK 2025. Pretty Petals Papercraft. ALL AGES! Spring into the season & come craft your own blooming paper flowers! Monday, March 10th 10:00 am.
SPRING BREAK 2025. Cryptid Creation. Come learn about cryptids from around the world and design your own! Win a prize for the best drawing/story! Tuesday March 11th, 2pm. Ages 8-12.
Virtual Odyssey: A VR Experience. Jump into a new world of VR gaming at your library. Ages 12+. Wednesday March 12, 2025 @2pm.
Pursuing the Pinyon Pine. Join us and the NAU RaMP scholars to learn about pinyon pine in Northern Arizona and make tree ring art. All participants will take home a pinyon pine or juniper seedling. *while supplies last. Ages 7+. Downtown Library. Thursday March 13, 2025 3 PM. Northern Arizona University. Center for Adaptable Western Landscapes.
Friday Morning Cartoons. Join us for some classic Saturday morning cartoons and cereal. Pajamas welcome. Friday March 14, 2025 @9:30am. All ages.
Friends of the Library

Become a Friend to the Library. How Our Group Helps? We raise money to help support our library system and their many programs. How Do We Raise Money? Membership Dues, Year-Round Book Sales, Special Annual Book Sale, Merchandise Sales, Generous Donations. We also host a special event for local authors. At this event, the Copper Quill Award is presented to a local author chosen by past Copper Quill winners. Benefits to You: Support your library, Early Access to Members Preview Day of Annual Book Sale, 25% off books being sold through Friends at the library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
