FLAGSTAFF — Vroom! The bookmobile is back! The Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library Bookmobile is a mobile library that travels throughout Coconino County. County residents may remember the 40-foot blue-and-purple bus from its service from 2006 through 2019. Thanks to the work of staff at the Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library and City of Flagstaff Fleet Services, the bus is back on the road and headed to a stop near you!

The new schedule of stops can be found at http://bit.ly/4139wa2 or by scanning the QR code.

The library belongs to everyone. The bookmobile delivers on that promise. Bookmobile materials can be checked out with a Flagstaff Library card and users can sign up for a card while on the bookmobile. The loan period for checked out items is one month. Materials may be returned to either one of the Flagstaff libraries or dropped off during a visit to the bookmobile.

The bookmobile is essential in fulfilling the library’s mission to offer access to resources and opportunities to grow, learn, and innovate. In Northern Arizona’s large and diverse region, the bookmobile plays a vital role in extending library services. With dedicated staff, onboard library services, and a wide selection of materials, the bookmobile meets people where they live, removes barriers to access, and strengthens community connections.

The bookmobile strives to reach all ages in outlying areas of Coconino County as well as those within and near Flagstaff that may not otherwise have access to library services. The schedule includes visits to assisted living and hospice facilities, schools, community centers, chapter houses, and trading posts. Routes and stops may be adjusted in order to effectively meet community needs.
