Elf The Musical —November 27 – December 22 |
Elf The Musical is the hilarious and heartwarming tale of Buddy, a young orphan whose life is changed forever when he mistakenly crawls into Santa’s sack of toys one Christmas Eve. Raised by elves at the North Pole, Buddy’s enormous size and limited toy-making abilities make him realize he may not quite fit in! When he discovers he is actually human, Buddy embarks on a journey to find his birth father, and in turn, helps the people he meets rediscover the true meaning of Christmas.
“It’s been such a gift working with this cast! After years as a principal dancer and choreographer for musicals, stepping into this role with such a warm, talented group has been inspiring. I feel so lucky to share the stage with them all and especially with my daughter as one of the Elves!,” said Egle Rucci, who plays Emily Hobbs.
The cast includes 25 adults and kids and has 15 fun and foot-stomping musical numbers.
Elf The Musical is Directed by Joe Maniglia, Jeff McCarroll is the Assistant Director, Kenlynn Shields is the Musical Director, with Choreography by Alison Johnston.

Downtown Films at Theatrikos
|
|
Downtown Films recently presented All of Us, five award-winning short documentaries by local Flagstaff filmmakerJohn Schaffer. The films offer a heart-felt look at the role of disabilities in the lives of individuals and communities. “I make my films because I want people to understand disability in the way that many people with disabilities think about themselves. They don’t want pity and charity, they want empathy, opportunity and appreciation. Societal attitudes do a lot to disabled people and on one hand that’s disappointing and discouraging but on the other hand, as Elijah, the son of Matthew, a man with a significant disability featured in two of my films states, ‘that means we change that.’ We can change the way people think about disabilities,” said Schaffer.
Downtown Films at Theatrikos shows short and feature-length films on our recently upgraded projection equipment in an intimate venue. On select Monday nights each month, we feature local films made by local filmmakers on local topics; with an opportunity to engage with the filmmaker. On select Wednesday nights, the Sedona International Film Festival brings us feature films from their collection. “We are pleased to collaborate with SIFF, independent filmmakers, and our generous sponsors to offer these community events,” said Chris Gunn, Downtown Films Committee Chairman.

Greetings,
I’m reaching out to our community with a request. We are in need of a new rehearsal space.
For the last few years, Kinney Construction Services (KCS) has been incredibly generous and has allowed us to use space in their building for off-site rehearsals, auditions, meetings, and improv performances. We are beyond grateful for this generosity. But alas, as with many many good things, this has come to an end as KCS begins renovating this space for new tenants. So, we have a need for a large space (approximately 50 feet by 25 feet) on an extended basis. If you know of any such space (or are interested in moving out of your house or buying a building in town or leasing some space for us, lol) please contact us at theatre@theatrikos.com.
Thank you so much for your continued support of the theatre.
