Beginner Technology Classes. Join us for a beginners series to learn basics you need to know to use a personal computer or smartphone. All technology is provided for computer-based classes. Seats are limited and registration is required. Computer Basics Pt 2: Navigation and File Management | October 29 (2-4 PM). Internet Basics | November 12 (2-4 PM). Smart Phone Basics | November 19 (2-4 PM). Email Basics | December 10 (2-4 PM). Computer Basics Pt 1: Getting Started With Computers | October 15 (2-3:30PM). Books & Boos at Drinking Horn Meadery. Enjoy $1.00 off your first drink by showing your library card and find some spooooky reads using our Books & Boos pairing menu! Tuesday, Oct. 29th, 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Wily Writers, weekly writing group. Starting August 7th! Make writing a habit with practice! With the use of prompts, time allotments, and group sharing, Wily Writers will learn more about their writing and support others along the way. You bring your writing tools and we'll bring the fun! Every Wednesday at 6:00pm Downtown Library Northwest Corner.

Thursday Night Book Club. November 14 @ 6PM The Family Chao. January 9 @ 6PM Demon Copperhead. February 13 @ 6PM Swim Home to the Vanished. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk and meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. 3rd Monday of every month. November 18th at 1pm The Morningside by Téa Obreht. Upcoming: Hang the Moon by Jeanette Walls on December 16th.
LGBT+ Book Club 2024. The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo. November 18th at 6:30 PM. East Library.
Southwest Reads Book Club. This Land is Our Land: How We Lost the Right to Roam and How to Take It Back by Ken Ilgunas. An examination of the history and future of America’s private property and public lands. November 20 at 6pm. *3rd Wednesday in November due to Thanksgiving Downtown Library Community Room.
Poetry Book Club. Join us every other month to discuss poetry. Stick around (if interested) for writing exercises afterwards! December 5 @ 5:30 PM Time is a Mother. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk and meet in the Northwest Corner!
Youth Events
LEGO Club 2024. Flagstaff Downtown Library. Mondays 3:45-4:45pm September 9th September 23rd October 28th. Ages 5+. We bring the LEGO! You bring the imagination!
Fall 2024 Storytimes at the Flagstaff Downtown Library. Bouncing Babies Sept 10 - Nov 12 Tuesdays @ 9:15 am. Toddler Tales Sept 10 - Nov 14 Tuesdays @ 10:00 am & Thursdays @ 9:15 am. Preschool Express Sept 11 - Nov 14 Wed & Thurs @ 10:00 am. Saturday Story Stop Year-round @ 10:30 am.
Crafty Corner. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Every other Tuesday, Sept 17th & Oct 1st, 15th & 29th from 3:30 - 4:30PM. This kids program is for ages 3+.
Game Day. Ages 8-17. Video games & table top games! Fridays Sep 13 - Nov 1 1:30 - 3:00 pm. East Flagstaff Community Library.
Teen Advisory Group. Help plan teen programs, earn volunteer hours, & meet new people! Ages 14-18. 1st Saturday of each month @ 2PM November 2nd December 7th. Downtown Library.
Friends of the Library
Become a Friend to the Library. How Our Group Helps? We raise money to help support our library system and their many programs. How Do We Raise Money? Membership Dues, Year-Round Book Sales, Special Annual Book Sale, Merchandise Sales, Generous Donations. We also host a special event for local authors. At this event, the Copper Quill Award is presented to a local author chosen by past Copper Quill winners. Benefits to You: Support your library, Early Access to Members Preview Day of Annual Book Sale, 25% off books being sold through Friends at the library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
