FLAGSTAFF — The Center for Health Equity Research (CHER) at Northern Arizona University is inviting Flagstaff community members who are either Latina mothers or are individuals who have a strong connection with the Latina mother community in Flagstaff to a special conversation event.
CHER is hosting a small group discussion that will occur online through Zoom that will focus on how NAU researchers and community members can work together to better support the health and wellbeing of Latina mothers in Flagstaff. (See attached flyer.) We have reserved online space for up to 6 participants for this event.
Who Can Join Us:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Identify as a Latina Mother or are connected to the Latina mother community in Flagstaff
- Comfortable communicating in English
- Currently live or work in Flagstaff
- Must have a computer or mobile device that can connect to the internet
About the “Latina Mothers in Flagstaff” online group discussion event:
- Date & Time: Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. MST (AZ)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Purpose: To help NAU researchers learn how they can better support and connect with Latina mothers in Flagstaff through health outreach and wellness activities
- Compensation: Participants will receive a $50 gift card as a token of appreciation
