Origami Greeting Cards Kit. Create custom greeting cards using simple origami models! Instructions, cards, and origami paper are provided. Available at the Downtown Library Information Desk, Sept 3rd - 30th, while supplies last.
100 Years Grand: The Story of Arizona Highways Magazine. How did a brochure produced by the Arizona Highway Department become one of the most revered travel publications in the world? With dozens of historical and contemporary photographs, former Arizona Highways publisher, Win Holden, will share the inside story of this extraordinary magazine! Game Night. First Wednesday of each month from 5 to 7:30pm. September 4th is at the Downtown Library. Board games, multi-player card games, strategy games, social games, and much more!
Wily Writers, weekly writing group. Starting August 7th! Make writing a habit with practice! With the use of prompts, time allotments, and group sharing, Wily Writers will learn more about their writing and support others along the way. You bring your writing tools and we'll bring the fun! Every Wednesday at 6:00pm Downtown Library Northwest Corner.

Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. 3rd Monday of every month. September 16th at 1pm Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Upcoming: The Country of the Blind by Andrew Leland on October 21st.
Southwest Reads Book Club. No Spiritual Surrender by Klee Benally on September 25th. The late activist, Klee Benally writes of his experience agitating against colonial politics and working towards Indigenous autonomy. 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:00pm Downtown Library Community Room.
Banned Book Club: Lawn Boy. Tuesday, Oct. 1st, 6:00 to 7:00pm Downtown Library Community Room. Obscenity? Homoerotic content? Pedophilia? Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.

Copper Quill Award 2024. Presented by the Friends of the Flagstaff Library. Nominations are open! The Friends of the Flagstaff Public Library is opening the Copper Quill Award nomination process to all residents of Coconino County. To nominate a local published author, scan the QR code or visit: flagstaffpubliclibrary.org/get-involved/friends/copper-quill Please read the requirements for submitting the application. Nominations are due September 30th.
Become a Friend to the Library. How Our Group Helps? We raise money to help support our library system and their many programs. How Do We Raise Money? Membership Dues, Year-Round Book Sales, Special Annual Book Sale, Merchandise Sales, Generous Donations. We also host a special event for local authors. At this event, the Copper Quill Award is presented to a local author chosen by past Copper Quill winners. Benefits to You: Support your library, Early Access to Members Preview Day of Annual Book Sale, 25% off books being sold through Friends at the library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
