Climate Conversation: Emergency Preparedness 101: Ready, Set, Go! Tuesday, July 9th at 6pm East Flagstaff Community Library.
Senior Coffee Hour. The 2nd Wednesday of every month @ 10AM. Downtown Library N.W. Corner. Coffee and snacks provided! For older adults age 55+. Southwest Reads Book Club. Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey on July 24th. Coming soon: No Spiritual Surrender by Klee Benally on September 25th. 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:00pm Downtown Library Community Room.
Banned Book Club: The Outsiders. Tuesday Aug 6th, from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Gang violence. Drug use. Family dysfunction. Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
Youth Events
Summer Reading Challenge 2024. Kids Sewing with Threaded Together. Recommended ages 8+. Monday July 8th 1:30 pm. Downtown Library Lawn.
Adventure begins at your library 2024. Paws to Read. Sign up to read to a real therapy dog! Come to Youth Services, in person, to sign your child up for a reading time. This program is for kids reading independently. June 12th - July 24th. Mondays 2:00 - 4:00pm, Wednesdays 1:00 - 3:00pm. 20 minute sessions. Downtown Library
Summer 2024 Adventure Begins at Your Library Storytimes. BOUNCING BABIES June 14 & July 12 @ 10:30 am Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, knee bounces, rhymes, and more with your infant. TODDLER TALES June 18 - July 23 Tuesdays @ 10:30 am Your toddler will delight in this special time for stories, songs, games, and more. PRESCHOOL EXPRESS June 20 - July 25 Thursdays @ 10:30 am Surprises galore are in store when we get together for stories, songs, and games. Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.
