Adult & All-Ages Events
Star Wars: Navajo Language Edition. Celebrate Native American Heritage Month and indigenous languages by viewing a special Diné Bizaad dub of Star Wars: A New Hope. November 21st from 5:30 to 7:30pm in the Downtown Library Community Room.
Ornament Decoration. November 30th from 6 to 7:30 PM. Come decorate two to three 2.4in x 2.4in small square canvas ornaments. All materials will be provided. Registration is required as materials are limited. Call 928-213-2331 to register or click on the square.
Book Clubs
Senior Book Club at the Joe C Montoya Senior Center. 3rd Monday of every month. November 20th at 1pm. The Measure by Nikki Erlick.
Southwest Reads Book Club. November 29th at 6pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Finders Keepers by Craig Childs. Coming soon: January 24th Capirotada and March 27th Brave the Wild River.
LGBT+ Book Club. January 8th at 6:30pm. The Library of the Unwritten by A. J. Hackwith. East Library.
Thursday Night Book Club: Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner. January 11th at 6pm. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Banned Book Club: Speak. Tuesday February 6th from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Rape? Immorality? "Soft-pornography"? Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
Youth Events
Fall 2023 Storytimes. Saturday Story Stop. Year-round at 10:30am. Downtown Library Community Room. Come to a fun-filled morning of storytime for ALL ages.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
