The Downtown & East Flagstaff Libraries will be CLOSED Monday, Jan. 16th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Adult & All-Ages Events
Pride in Your Community 2023 Pride Bingo Night. January 9th at 6:30PM. Ages 12+.
Climate Conversations: Carbon Dioxide Removal.  Part of the Climate Resilience Project, Climate Conversations are expert-facilitated discussions on the science, news, and feelings around a climate topic. Tuesday, January 10th at 6pm. Downtonw Library Community Room.
Senior Coffee Hour: January 11th at 10AM, Downtown Library Northwest CORNER. Coffee and Snacks Provided! For Older adults Age 55 and up.  Meet at the Downtown Library on the second Wednesday of each month to drink coffee and chat about resources and topics for seniors.
Nuestra Cultura: Ven a conversar sobre la cultura hispana y latinoamericana, el segundo miércoles del mes en la sala comunitaria de la biblioteca del centro. Tendremos cafecito y té disponible. El Miercoles 11 de Enero a las 5:30 pm.
Science Cafe: Saturday, January 14th at 10am at the East Flagstaff Library. Dr. David Brumbaugh, former director of the Arizona Earthquake Information Center, and geology of the Colorado Plateau through time. Coffee provided.
Movie Tuesday: MLK/FBI. Based on newly declassified files, this documentary explores the government's surveillance and harassment of Martin Luther King, Jr, and the contested meaning behind some of our most cherished ideals. January 17th at 5:30pm, Downtown Library.
Community Living Room:  A free monthly program  at the downtown library   featuring an interesting local   with something to share! January 18th: Al White, local politician, disability advocate, and life enthusiast. 6pm at the Downtown Library's Northwest Corner.
Zoom Basics: Learn how to create an account, make video calls, and build confidence using Zoom features.  All technology is provided, just bring yourself! Seats are limited and registration is required. Thursday, January 19th at 11am. Downtown Library.
Youth Events
Creation Station: stories and crafts. Wednesdays, January 11th and 25th, February 8th and 22nd, and March 8th. 3:45 pm at the Downtown Library.
Game Day. Ages 8 to 17. Wednesdays January 18th, February 1st and 15th, and March 1st. 1pm to 2:30pm at the East Flagstaff Library. Swing by to play video games & table top games.
Storytimes at the Downown Library! Baby Laptime: January 10th to March 7th, Tuesdays at 9:15 am. Preschool Express: January 11th to March 9th, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 am. Toddler Tales: January 10th to March 9th, Tuesdays at 10 am and Thursdays at 9:15 am. Saturday Story Stop: Year-round at 10:30 am.
Crafty Corner. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Tuesdays, January 10th to March 7th from 3:30 to 4:30PM. Ages 3 and up.
Family Storytime. Wednesdays starting January 11th through March 8th from 10:30AM to 11:15AM. East Flagstaff Library.
LEGO Club: East Flagstaff Library. Thursdays, January 12th and 26th, February 9th and 23rd, and March 9th. 2:30 to 3:45 pm. Ages 5 and 11.
Bards & Nobles: Dungeons & Dragons for Teens. January 19th, February 16th, and April 20th. 5:00 to 7:30pm at the Downtown Library. Ages 12 to 18. Registration required.
Game Time, Hang Time. Ages 8 to 18. Board games, Switch, PS4, and free snacks! 1st and 3rd Fridays from January 20th to April 21st. 3:45 to 4:45pm in the Downtown Library.
Book Clubs
Thursday Night Book Club: Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Moneyman. January 12th at 6 PM, Downtown Library & on Zoom.
Climate Resilience Project Common Read Book Club. Join monthly meetings to discuss a chapter of The Community Resilience Reader. Join us in person at the Downtown Library Community Room or on Zoom, even if you haven't read the chapter yet! Thursday, January 19th at 5:30pm: Chapter 5, the Equity Crisis
Southwest Reads Book Club: Never Kill a Song: Paul Arviso, his life and his jewelry. Starting in January, we will meet the 4th Wednesday of every other month at 5:30 pm in the  Downtown Library Community Room. January 25th at 5:30pm
Senior Book Club at the Joe C Montoya Community and Senior Center. February 13th at 1pm. The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman.
LGBT+ Book Club 2023. Every other month 2nd Monday at 6:30PM. March 13th at 6:30PM. Pink Book titled "Red, White, & Royal Blue." Heart with shades of green, white, blue and purple. Heart with pink, purple, and blue. East Flagstaff Community Library. (928) 213-2348
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
