FLAGSTAFF, Ariz — The City of Flagstaff will host a series of in-person home energy efficiency workshops this winter, with the first workshop scheduled for Wednesday, November 9. Each workshop will provide a quick one-hour demonstration and discussion to help both renters and homeowners save money, reduce energy use, and make their homes more comfortable during cold weather. At the free workshops, a licensed contractor from CozyHome will demonstrate simple do-it-yourself energy efficiency upgrades, showing individuals how to weatherize homes and save money on utility bills.
Attendees will receive a free kit to help them get started. This free kit is valued at over $30 and includes weather stripping, caulking, a low-flow shower head, LED lightbulbs and more.
The first workshop will be held at 419 N Mogollon St. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 6 – 7 p.m. Signs will be present to help attendees arrive at the final workshop location.
If you are unable to attend the first workshop, there are additional workshops scheduled throughout the winter. In addition, there is a stand-alone presentation that can be watched at anytime to receive valuable information. Participants who complete the stand-alone presentation can still receive a free DIY kit.
