Coconino Communty College needs our support!

Coconino Community College (CCC) improves the lives of our residents through workforce development and higher education, and the community wants the college to continue preparing our residents for the jobs of today and tomorrow. But if we don’t fix a dire funding situation before it’s too late, CCC won’t be able to provide the programs vital to the success of our region.

That’s why we are asking for your support of Proposition 438 – a smart and fiscally responsible reset of a 30-year old property tax rate in this May’s Special Election. Please vote YES on Proposition 438 this May 17th.

Proposition 438 is an investment in our future. Why you should vote yes:

• A trained and skilled workforce is critical to a region’s success in today’s competitive economy.
• A more educated population means new businesses, better jobs, a higher quality of life, less crime and substance abuse, and greater home ownership and housing stability.
• Your tax dollars will stay in Coconino County and be used to improve the lives and businesses of people in Coconino County.
• Even after passage, the property tax rate will be the lowest of any community college in the state. As an example, a typical house with a value of approximately $550,000 would see a small increase of about $9 per month – less than the cost of a Netflix subscription.
