All Coconino County administrative offices will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day.
While the administrative offices at the Sheriff’s Office will be closed, Dispatch, Patrol and Detention will be open. Records will remain open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2021. Please dial 9-1-1 for emergencies. For non-emergencies, dial 928-774-4523 to connect with the non-emergency dispatch number or to leave a message for one of the administrative offices.
Coconino County Health and Human Services (CCHHS) Animal Management will have an officer available from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, July 5. Contact the CCHHS Animal Management office at 928-679-8756 and leave a message and an officer will return the call.
Coconino County’s trails managed by Parks & Recreation are currently closed and include: Soldiers, Bridge, Two-Spot, Gold Digger, and Pumphouse Nature trails, and access to the Highlands Trail, Flagstaff Loop Trail, and Harrenburg Wash. Closed parks and recreation features include: Fort Tuthill Bike Park, Fort Tuthill Disc Golf Course, the stables at Fort Tuthill, the Archery Range at Fort Tuthill, and ramadas at Fort Tuthill and Raymond County Parks. The administration office will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of the 4th of July holiday and limited staff or services will be available.
The public is encouraged to visit Sawmill County Park and Peaks View County Park while the County is under Stage 3 fire restrictions. Ramadas are open and available for reservation at Peaks View County Park. Please follow specific Stage 3 fire restrictions at county parks and natural areas, which include: smoking is only allowed in an enclosed vehicle, no campfires or barbecue grills including propane grills, camping permitted only in designated campground, and no parking on grassy or forested areas.
Coconino County is in Stage 3 Fire Restrictions. Fire restrictions apply on county public lands and private property. Prohibited activities include fireworks, campfires and open fires, activities likely to result in combustion outdoors, such as using charcoal grills, propane grills/heaters, fire rings, pellet smokers, tracer rounds, incendiary rounds/targets. Residents and visitors should use their best judgment when considering whether to engage in any activity that could spark a fire.
