This is heavy and somewhat dirty work, but your volunteer efforts will help protect the families and properties impacted by the burn scar created during that 2019 fire. The Museum Fire burned more than half of the watershed that feeds into the Spruce Avenue Wash which, in turn, flows right into the city.
If you are interested in volunteering, please register at our
Volunteer Hub. Once you register, we’ll send you an email with the location where you’ll be needed.
Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and bring work gloves, a hat, and plenty of sunscreen.
Helping replenish the sandbags is needed more than ever this year. While we’ve had so-called “non-soons” during the past two summers, the folks at the National Weather Service says that this year is likely to be a more typical rainy season.
That means many of our friends and neighbors could be impacted if a flood event occurs.
Please give us a call at (928) 773-9813 if you have any difficulties creating a Volunteer Hub account or registering for this event. THANK YOU for being Ready to LIVE UNITED and we look forward to seeing you this Saturday, the 19th!
