President Prize winners NAU honors Class of 2021 President’s Prize, Gold Axe winners, Distinguished Seniors and standard bearers
Six seniors were honored with the President’s Prize, the highest award NAU gives to undergraduate students. In a virtual ceremony, President Cheng acknowledged the many accomplishments of all the students, who accomplished so much while finishing their degrees during the pandemic.

Psychology student Hannah Bechtel wanted to know whether students who work on-campus have less stress than those who work off-campus, so she created her own research project. She’ll present her findings at the virtual Undergrad Symposium next week.

Mariah Letowt, who has won two HURA grants to conduct research, will present her latest project on the variety of vocalizations among cuckoo birds at the Undergrad Symposium next week. She graduates this month and will move to Alaska for a yearlong internship.
