FLAGSTAFF —  Coconino County has completed the move of its Human Resources Department to the County Administration Building as part of a multi-layered series of facility consolidation efforts to save the County on leased space costs. The Human Resources Department is now located on the 3rd floor of the County Administration Building at 219 E Cherry Ave in Flagstaff.

“COVID-19 has demonstrated the ability for the County to reimagine how we use space, what part of our workforce needs to be in the office and explore hybrid work options that save taxpayers lease costs while promoting productivity in our dedicated team. The series of facility changes that we are engaged in will optimize County-owned space and eliminate much of our leased space,” said County Manager James Jayne.

Prior to the move of the Human Resources Department, the County consolidated the Information Technology Department from three separate facilities to one location on the County’s Fort Valley Campus, which eliminated one leased facility. Emergency Management offices were relocated to the King Street Campus with the Health and Human Services Department which created space for the Human Resources team at the Administration Building. In the coming months, Adult Probation will move into existing County office space at 420 N San Francisco St, which will eliminate another leased facility.

Public access to the County Administration Building is currently by appointment due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, those that have business with and need to interact with the Human Resources Department can schedule an appointment by calling 928-697-7100.
