COCONINO COUNTY — Coconino County congratulates Stacy Krueger on her appointment by Governor Doug Ducey to the Coconino County Superior Court Division III to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Mark R. Moran.
Stacy is a longtime public servant at the Coconino County Attorney’s Office, with a focus on prosecuting domestic violence cases. In addition to her own heavy caseload, Stacy oversees prosecutors who serve in the County’s specialty courts including Veterans’ Court, Recovery Court, Mental Health Court, and Page Drug Court.
“Stacy’s enthusiasm and passion for public service is evident in everything she does. In 2018, she was recognized as Prosecutor of the Year by Mothers Against Drunk Driving, which speaks to her tireless commitment to the pursuit of justice and her compassion for others. We are proud to have one of our team appointed to the Court,” commented County Manager James Jayne.
Stacy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, obtained magna cum laude a Master of Science in Education from Youngstown State University in Ohio, and a law degree magna cum laude from the University of Toledo in Ohio.
In 2018, Coconino County voters opted to move from elections for judges on the Superior Court to merit selection where the Coconino County Trial Court Commission makes recommendations to the Governor for appointments to fill judicial vacancies. Stacy is the Governor’s first appointment to the Coconino County Superior Court through this new process.
