A new study led by four researchers in the School of Earth and Sustainability showed that in the past 150 years, global warming has more than undone the global cooling that occurred over the past six millennia.

Kelly Jaenecke, a master’s student in the Department of Biological Sciences, is in Hawai’i this summer continuing her research, which includes using DNA insects, spiders and other arthropods—prey of the Hawai’i ‘elepaio—to compare the bird species and habitats over time.
