Hello Sinagua Families;
I hope this finds you all safe and healthy. Together we can get through this.
Phase 3 has begun and administration is now allowed back in the building to start getting ready for student check out. We are currently emptying lockers and bagging items and labeling. Teachers will then be allowed to come in (10-12) at a time next week to close their classrooms. If they have items that belong to students they will put them in the bags already tagged with student names. This will include PE, woods, art, MITE and all classes that may have student items stored in them.
We will need to collect IPADS, textbooks, library books and instruments from those students who have them. The nurse may also have medications that need to be given back for the summer.
We are going to have a curb-side pick up system for all of this. You will arrive on the south entrance off of Butler Avenue and take a left to travel toward solar panels. You will make your way around the school where there will be check stations for the various items, ending with the circle drive by the gymnasium on the north side of the building where you will get your bag of student items.
We will do this by Alpha to try to do this expediently and efficiently. So when your alpha is up, please bring textbooks, IPADS, Chargers, cords, keyboards, hotspots, instruments, or library books that belong to the school district so we may check you out and there are no fines assessed. The day and alpha assignment is listed below. This is coordinated with all secondary schools so that those families with multiple children can get all of their children’s items in one day.
Distribution times are 9-12 and 1-4 each of the days listed below. Last Name Distribution:
- May 22. A-D
- May 25–MEMORIAL DAY–NO SCHOOL AND NO PICK UP
- May 26 E-J
- May 27 K-Q
- May 28 R-Z
Students should still be learning!! School is still in session until May 22. Lessons are uploaded on the digital hub and students can get into them to continue their learning. Final grades will post on May 26, 27th.
We are putting together an 8th grade Virtual Promotion Ceremony and this will be send out on the website on MAY 22. We hope all of our 8th grade families will have an opportunity to view this ceremony and celebrate this accomplishment with their students. Their 8th grade promotion certificates will be in side each of their pick up bags on the distribution day as well.
I will send one final update with this information. If you have any questions, I can now be reached in my office at 928-527-5501.
Thank you,
Tari Popham
