The City of Flagstaff has received and is processing a Site Plan application for a multi-family residential development consisting of 222 dwelling units. This is the second application reviewed by the City on this site within the last year. In January 2019 staff held a work session with the City Council to discuss a possible amendment to the Development Agreement for this site for the purpose of clarifying ambiguous provisions of the Development Agreement. The property owner was not interested in renegotiating the Development Agreement and pulled the amendment before it went to a vote of Council. The current proposal does not include a review by the City Council as it is a by-right development and as such does not meet the criteria for a Council review. The City has received a significant number of emails expressing concerns and questions about this project. Due to the complicated history and specific development requirements for this site, City staff will be holding an informational meeting about this property and the review requirements for the proposed development.
