Online Gallery Continues to Grow!

We miss our gallery being open to the public! However we have taken this opportunity to spend time upgrading our online presence and the way we represent our member artists online. The current goal is to represent each artist in our gallery with at least 5 – 6 works. We continue to represent our bi-monthly featured artists with additional works. The website is beginning to reflect the diversity and talent of our professional member artists.

All works are priced to include shipping and our non-profit status means there is no sales tax on artworks sold from our gallery. All proceeds from the gallery support our ongoing mission of arts education!

Deanne McKeown is one of the currently featured artists, her bronze sculpture “Edgar” is pictured above, each work in the edition comes with an actual copy of the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe. Below is a small selection of the works currently available in the Online Gallery.

Jane Defoe

Jane Defoe is known for her fabulous quilts that are made using both hand and machine techniques. Beads, metallic threads and paint are added to embellish the fabrics. In addition to a wide selection of fabrics, Jane will also hand –dye or batik fabrics to make her own designs and then incorporate these into the final work of art. Jane’s quilts have won awards in major shows across the United States and her work is collected by patrons from around the world. Each quilt is beautifully finished on the back then completed with a name and the artists signature. Her dolls on the other hand are each as unique as any work of art is and her dolls travel all over the world bringing their quirky delight to the art child in all of us. Elaine Belvin
Elaine Belvin’s interest in photography was sparked by the beautiful landscapes she and her husband saw while hiking in the American Southwest. After a long career in Information Technology, photography is now her focus and hiking gives her access to remarkable sites.  Elaine brings a combination of artistic and technological skills to her images. She uses the camera as a tool to create works of art that capture an expression, a mood, a natural geometry, an exceptional quality of light, or a striking color palette. Computer technology helps her to transform what the camera captured into what she saw in her mind’s eye. See more Southwest photography available online HERE

Jodie King

Jodie paints primarily in abstract expressionism which to her means she uses paint and other tools to express externally what’s bubbling up in her mind, body and spirit. Her process begins by meditating and journaling, then going directly to the canvas and painting without having any expectation or idea what the final product will be. She builds layer after layer…letting go & covering some things…keeping others. “Always, there comes a point in the painting process where I’m so frustrated I  want to poke myself in the eye with a paintbrush. Thankfully, I work through this and, in the end, I’m always a little bit surprised, yet delighted, by what is expressed on the canvas.” See more of Jodie’s work HERE. Jodie also offers a workshop with the Sedona Arts Center. Come celebrate the reopening of the country June 27 – 29 by engaging in a liberating art workshop in beautiful Sedona AZ! Janet Weaver

” I enjoy viewing all kinds of art, but when it comes to creating my own, I admit striving for color, extreme detail, and high contrast. Still life is my favorite subject matter, and all other subjects come in second. I read that “apples don’t stand a chance next to the human figure”, and sometimes I believe it. However, all it takes to start planning the next still life is to see a plate of vibrant tomatoes, ranging from green to glorious cadmium red light. I’m a self-taught artist as much as one can be. First paintings were created from paint left over from Christmas paint by numbers sets, using cardboard for canvas. My 12th Christmas brought me a wooden box full of supplies. I’ve had a painting in progress since then, thoroughly enjoying the creation process to this day.” See more about Janet Weaver HERE.
