APRIL 2020
COVID-19 Update
AMENITY CLOSURES
Effective Saturday, April 4 at 5 p.m., all playgrounds, basketball courts, ramadas (including picnic tables and barbecue grills), and restroom facilities managed by Coconino County Parks and Recreation will close until further notice.
These regulations come as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and in response to the Governor’s Office latest guidance on essential services. These sites include Fort Tuthill County Park, Raymond County Park, Sawmill County Park, and Peaks View County Park. Louise Yellowman County Park in Tuba City has already been closed to the public.
Coconino County Parks and Recreation encourages the public to engage in responsible physical and social distancing. Parks, natural areas and trails managed by Coconino County will remain open for public enjoyment; this excludes Louise Yellowman County Park. Read more information on things to do, both indoors and outdoors, on the department website at Coconino.AZ.Gov/Parks.

Parks, natural areas, and trails are comforting places for people to go during these stressful times. However, when too many people visit a site at one time, it may be hard to practice responsible physical and social distancing. As a reminder, should you go outside to exercise, please do so responsibly and follow the CDC guidance on how to protect yourself and others.
