Variety of events planned throughout region including walk in Tuba City on April 4, Field of Hope dedication ceremony on April 5 in Flagstaff.

Child Abuse Prevention Month kicked off in April with the reading of the official proclamation by the City of Flagstaff at its regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

The proclamation was presented to CCC&Y Executive Director Virginia Watahomigie by members of the Flagstaff City Council and Mayor Coral Evans.

CHS Coconuts Head to National Robotics Competition, Again

Coconino High school’s robotics team, the Coconuts, traveled to California to receive an engineering inspiration award granted by NASA. The team won this award for motivating others in STEM education. Later this month the team will be traveling to Houston to compete with other robotics students from around the world.

CCC&Y Spotlight: Registration now open for Coconino Coalition for Children & Youth’s 2019 Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference on April 18
In recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, CCC&Y will present the 2019 Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference and Luncheon — “Healing Collective Trauma through Community Connections,” at Little America Hotel, Flagstaff on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Click on flyer for more information.
