Cesar Chavez Lecture and Film ‘Mexican and Latina/o Labor, Immigration, and the Current Migration Crisis’ to be presented on March 28 at NAU

FLAGSTAFF — NAU Latin American Studies, NAU No More Deaths and NAU Ethnic Studies will present the 2nd Annual Cesar Chavez Lecture and Film Event “Mexican and Latina/o Labor, Immigration, and the Current Migration Crisis,” from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at SBS West Lecture Hall 200, NAU.

This event will include a screening of the new film Destierros (2018, dir. Hubert Caron-Guay) as well as a panel discussion with scholars and activists working in the field. The documentary follows the lives of migrants travelling through Mexico from Honduras and Guatemala as they head north. You can see a trailer of Destierros  here: https://vimeo.com/241040317
